Discovering the paradise of the Romans
The archipelago of the Pontine Islands with its six islands has kept the typical Mediterranean environment unchanged. Here the Romans created their colony and made it a strategic point for the empire in the central Tyrrhenian Sea. It then also became a magical place of exile.
One of these islands, Palmarola, almost completely uninhabited, is perhaps the most intact and most exotic of the Pontine Islands. For some of its views, the cliffs and the crystalline sea it is often considered one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
The wonderful seabed of the Island of Palmarola will offer the beauty of wildness and nature, rich in marine fauna, all to be explored. These few but beautiful beaches enclosed by steep slopes, spectacular rocky walls and numerous caves that together create one of the most beautiful seascapes in the Lazio region. The island's environmental importance has therefore led to the creation of a nature reserve that protects its precious uncontaminated nature ... and this is where our long exploratory swims will take place. We will swim among some of the best landscapes including the so-called "cathedral" located in the north of the island as well as the large white cliff that opens onto the southern side.
The athletes' program includes up to a double training per day. All non-swimmers, parters and supporters, will be able to watch the swims and enjoy the scene ray from a private boat that is available to the group to land in otherwise unreachable places.
